At TutorBox, we combine clear teaching with the help of a clever AI-driven tool to make sure your child understands 11+ maths topics. This tool adjusts to your child’s level, giving them personalised practice and showing us where they need extra help. We focus on building strong skills in areas like arithmetic, problem-solving, and reasoning.
Our tutors explain topics step by step, making even difficult ideas easy to understand. With regular practice and support, your child will gain confidence, improve their maths skills, and be fully prepared for their 11+ exams.
For 11+ English, we use clear teaching methods and an AI-driven tool that helps personalise your child’s learning. This tool provides targeted exercises and feedback, so your child improves in reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary at their own pace.
We help students understand texts, write creatively, and communicate their ideas clearly. With practice and guidance, they will build strong English skills that not only prepare them for the 11+ but also help in school and beyond.
Verbal reasoning can seem tricky at first, but we make it simple with a mix of clear teaching and support from our smart AI-driven tool. This tool creates exercises that match your child’s ability, helping them improve their logical thinking and word skills.
We teach useful strategies for solving verbal reasoning questions, like spotting patterns and solving puzzles. With regular practice and encouragement, your child will approach verbal reasoning with confidence and skill.
Non-verbal reasoning focuses on patterns, shapes, and problem-solving. At TutorBox, we explain these skills clearly and use an AI-driven tool that gives personalised exercises to help your child improve step by step.
Our tutors guide students through practice questions, showing them easy ways to solve even the hardest problems. This combination of teaching and practice ensures your child is ready and confident for the non-verbal reasoning part of their 11+ exam.

Depending on the services you are interested in and whether you meet the eligibility criteria, it is possible to claim back childcare costs from Universal Credit and Student Finance. Get in touch to discuss options with a member of management.
It really does depend on so many factors, but we’re happy to help you navigate this decision. We would need to consider your child’s age, academic ability, their maturity level and ultimately, what we’re trying to achieve. Our short answer is usually: if you can trust your child to work well independently then online is both convenient and cost-effective. If you prefer to have them supervised by an adult, in-centre is better.
1-1 tuition is usually ideal for students who are (A) top-performers already so they want dedicated attention on topics they struggle with, or (B) students that are struggling and need personalised attention.
For most students, however, groups provide an organised, structured and fun learning environment. The intention is to give your child an advantage by teaching & reviewing topics they will learn at school, ensuring they fully understand and feel confident heading into their exams.
We accept direct payments made by cash, card or bank transfers.
Parents who are full-time students, receiving the Childcare Grant from Student Finance, can use that service to cover 85% of their fees.
Families on Universal Credit or Working Tax Credit may also be eligible to claim up to 85% of their childcare costs through Childcare Allowance.
If you receive Tax-Free Childcare, you can get 20% of your costs covered, meaning for every £8 you pay the government will pay an additional £2 towards your costs. Click here to see if you are eligible.
Lastly, if you are registered with childcare voucher providers such as EdenRed, Computershare, KiddiVouchers, Care-4, Fideliti and Co-op (and more), we can accept payments through them.

We’re very proud to have a tutor team that ranges from qualified teachers and academics to trainee teachers, graduates and university students. Of course we hire tutors that have an excellent academic background themselves and provide a lot of value in a classroom, but what we’re most proud of is that every tutor here genuinely cares about seeing their students improve and succeed.
You can expect to see improvements in your child’s grades by about 12 weeks. This is based on a range of factors like:
Every child’s progression is different, but as long as the student applies themselves and the points above get done consistently, most of our students show strong progress in under 12 weeks.
For students in one-to-one lessons, yes, we can support them with whatever school work is needed. Students in group settings however must align with the pre-set syllabus we’ve prepared, in order to make efficient use of the time.
